Amanda Lang is a Canadian journalist and television personality who has had an extensive and impressive career in the media industry. Born in 1970 in Saskatchewan, Lang graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in economics and then went on to complete a Masters of Journalism program at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
She began her career as a print journalist, writing for various newspapers and magazines before moving on to television. Lang joined BNN (Business News Network) in 2002, where she quickly became one of the most recognizable faces in business news reporting. In 2009, she joined the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) as a senior business correspondent and anchor for The Lang & O’Leary Exchange. She also hosted her own show, The Exchange with Amanda Lang, from 2012 to 2016.
Lang is known for her intelligent and insightful analysis of business and current affairs, as well as her sharp interviewing skills. She has covered major events such as the 2008 financial crisis, the Enron scandal, and the G20 meetings.
